Cleric Urges Introducing Islam to World via Religious Rationality
Ayatollah Reza Ramezani addressed a ceremony to unveil 15 printed and two audio books published by the assembly in different languages.
It was organized at the 35th Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF) on Monday afternoon.
He said Islam is a rational religion in the fields of ethics and Sharia and the language of the revelation is one of wisdom and Fitrat (nature), which is the common language of all humanity.
That is why Islam should be promoted in the world through religious rationality, the senior cleric said.
He also noted that Islam’s Holy Book, the Quran, is not for a certain people or a certain time, but it belongs to all humanity at all times.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Ramezani noted that the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) World Assembly has translated and published 173 books in different languages.
He said that the Assembly now plans to focus on writing books in various languages instead of translation.
Referring to the activities of the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) University, which is affiliated to the Assembly, he said it began with 8 academic majors and has increased the number to 23, including 5 at the PhD level.
The audio and printed books unveiled at the Monday ceremony were in German, Spanish, English, Italian, Russian, French, Swahili, Hausa, Fulah and Rwandan.
Running under the slogan “Let’s Read and Create,” the 35th Tehran International Book Fair is underway at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla (prayer hall) and will run until May 18.

The TIBF, being Iran’s premier book trade fair, has evolved into a significant book fair in West Asia after successfully hosting 34 editions. Every year, the fair attracts millions of visitors, including a large number of university students, scholars, and families.
Currently, the fair stands as the most prominent cultural event in Iran. On average, it sees participation from 2,500 domestic and 600 foreign publishers. The foreign publishers predominantly offer their materials in English or Arabic, but titles in French, German, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese are also available.
