Islam Offers Alternative to West’s Domineering Civilization: Cleric
Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Abbasi made the remark during a visit to the university by an Iraqi delegation from Najaf Islamic Seminary.
He said the Zionist regime is the Western colonial and materialistic civilization’s base in the heart of the Muslim world.
He described the issue of Palestine and the Zionist regime’s occupation of Palestinian lands as a civilization issue, adding that the colonialists have made the fake Zionist regime in the Muslim world to preserve their illegitimate interests.
Hojat-ol-Islam Abbasi referred to Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip and said what has been taking place in Palestine over the past seven months is the result of events that began decades ago and has now turned into a civilizational confrontation.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he elaborated on the activities of Al-Mustafa International University, saying it is an academic center with an Islamic seminary identity.
He added that several thousand students from 130 countries are currently studying Islamic sciences and the teachings of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) at the university.
Al-Mustafa International University is a religious and Islamic university established to expand and introduce Islamic and religious teachings in the world through modern facilities and technologies.
It is a scholarly and educational institution that like other such institutions strives to develop thought and help society and humanity.
The academic center is known internationally and has trained many prominent scholars and researchers.
The university has many overseas branches for non-Iranian Muslims who seek to study Islam and related subjects.
It offers graduate, post-graduate and PhD courses in various fields.
