“The heinous crimes committed by the child-killing and usurping Zionist regime in Gaza have deeply troubled humanity's conscience and sparked protests from people of all faiths and professions worldwide. However, the rise of student protests in Western countries, especially the US, France, the UK—whose leaders are staunch supporters of the Zionist regime’s cruel crimes—is another manifestation of seeking justice,” reads a statement issued by 5,000 students and professors that participated in a nationwide debate a few months ago.
In a media landscape where Western narratives are often skewed due to Zionist control, students within this sphere have raised their voices against the distorted portrayal of events in Gaza and the resistance movement, according to the statement.
The path of this great movement has been enlightened for the youth who had lost their path of truth, it added.
The claims of freedom and democracy championed by the US and its allies have lost their credibility in the wake of the Israeli crimes in Gaza and the support that the regime receives from Western states, they said.
“Academics increasingly view Zionism as a false idol, distorting the concept of a promised land into a justification for the massacre of defenseless men, women, and innocent children,” the statement read.

“Students are voicing their demand to sever financial ties with a regime that disregards international norms and human rights. This regime allocates university funds to an anti-human narrative concerning the Jewish people, even causing discomfort among Jews who reject the genocidal rhetoric propagated by the Zionists.”
The genocide and crimes in Gaza have deepened the “challenge posed by the Zionist interpretation of Judaism,” it said, adding that amid this battle of narratives, the human truth prevails.
“The current movement sweeping through Western universities and streets primarily rejects the efforts aimed at legitimizing the occupation and genocide perpetrated by the occupiers.”
The passionate defense of Gaza's oppressed and defenseless people by students and professors serves as a powerful testament to the global impact of the anti-arrogance message, according to the participants.
