World Hearing Voice of Palestine: Iran’s Parliament Speaker
He made the remarks in an address to an international conference on the Gaza Strip in Tehran.
The conference “Gaza; The Resistant Oppressed” was held at the IRIB International Conferences Hall on Saturday morning.
Today we are seeing the wave of popular support for Palestine, the condemnation of Israeli regime’s atrocities by the international court in The Hague, and the movement of university students in the world in protest at the Zionist regime’s massacre of Palestinian people, he said.
But it was first a divine figure in the holy city of Qom that drew the world’s attention to the issue of Palestine 60 years ago, he stated.
Ghalibaf said that this divine man, namely Imam Khomeini (RA), referred to the Zionist regime and the criminal US as the root of corruption and oppression in the world and showed the world how to struggle against them and resist them.
He added that since the Islamic movement began in Iran, Imam Khomeini (RA) did not allow the issue of Palestine to be consigned to oblivion.
Imam Khomeini based human conscience and not Arab nationalism as the basis of Palestinian resistance and since then, the Israeli regime has become weaker day after day, the Iranian parliament speaker said.
He went on to say that he Zionists made every effort to make sure that the issue of Palestine is forgotten but today, not only the Palestinian younger generation, but also young university students all over the world are standing against the Zionist regime.

Ghalibaf also referred to Iran’s recent operation on Israel, dubbed “Operation True Promise” and said it proved the Tel Aviv regime’s weakness.
He highlighted the Israeli regime’s successive defeats and said the wave of resistance will soon deal the final blow to this ominous regime.
