Egypt Quran Radio Has 60 Million Daily Listeners, Official Says
Mohamed Noor was speaking in a program on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Quran Radio’s establishment.
He said some 60 million people listen to the Quran Radio everyday, Youm7 website reported.
He pointed to the recent plans implemented at the Quran Radio to improve its products and said they include plans to develop the technical infrastructures, diversifying the programs and admitting young Quran reciters.
Mohamed Noor noted that for the first time since the launch of the Quran Radio, 12 young qaris have joined it to recite the Quran.
The Quran Radio was founded with the aim of preventing the distortion of the Quran and offering correct Quran recitations by prominent qaris.
Since its establishment, the Quran Radio has been very popular with people in Egypt as well as other countries around the world.
