During the meeting, the two sides discussed promotion of religious cooperation in different fields, including interfaith dialogue.
The ICRO chief stressed the need for collaborations among religions to resolve problems in human society.
He highlighted more than 20 years of interfaith dialogue between Iran and Greece, which were suspended during the coronavirus pandemic, and called for the resumption of the dialogue.
He also referred to the issue of family and the threats facing this sacred institution, warning about attempts by some currents in the world to undermine the institution of family and underscoring the need to confront them.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Hojat-ol-Islam Imanipour pointed to the importance of using new methods to promote religious teachings.
He also invited the Greek patriarch to visit the Islamic Republic of Iran.
