Ayatollah Khamenei Visits Senior Cleric in Hospital

IQNA – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei visited Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi following the illness and hospitalization of senior cleric.

Ayatollah Makrem Shirazi is a prominent Marja (religious authority, Shia source of emulation).

The Leader paid a visit to him at a hospital in Tehran.

During the visit, Imam Khamenei inquired about the progress of Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi's treatment and prayed for his full recovery and health.

“In all these years, your life has been blessed and you have been beneficial in terms of your scientific knowledge, your guidance of people, and your wisdom. May God continue to bestow his blessings upon you,” he added.

On his part, Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi also expressed his gratitude for the Leader of the Islamic Revolution’s kindness and compassion.
