The criminal complaint states that Kadosh's actions were motivated by religious and ethnic differences. Kadosh allegedly threatened to break into Chebira's apartment and kill him because of their differing faiths.
He was arrested on Saturday, two days after reportedly breaking into Chebira's apartment, vandalizing it, and desecrating the Holy Quran, NBC News reported on Friday.
On the same day, Kadosh allegedly struck Chebira in the head with a mallet, causing serious injuries that required hospitalization.
Kadosh pleaded not guilty in Kings County Criminal Court, with bail set at $25,000 cash or $125,000 bond. His public defender did not respond to requests for comment.

Chebira, who moved into the building in October, reported that the harassment began shortly after his arrival. He expressed relief at Kadosh's arrest, fearing further attacks upon his discharge from the hospital.
The complaint details incidents dating back to early March, including tire slashing, door vandalism, physical assaults, and repeated threats to Chebira's life.
There has been an uptick in anti-Muslim incidents across the United States and several other European countries since the start of was between the Palestinian resistance forces in Gaza and the Israeli regime since October last year.
