Arbaeen Pilgrims Answering Imam Hussein’s Call: Nigerian Cleric

IQNA – Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky said those taking part in the Arbaeen pilgrimage are answering Imam Hussein’s (AS) call.

He made the remark in the closing ceremony of Nida al-Aqsa Moukeb on the path of Karbala.

He said the pilgrimage is evidence of the fact that blood is victorious over sword.

Today’s millions-strong presence in the Arbaeen march is evidence of the victory of Imam Hussein’s (AS) movement, he stated.  

he senior Nigerian cleric also referred to the Israeli regime’s genocidal war in the Gaza Strip and said the occupation regime has had no achievements in Gaza.

He added that all supportive stances for Palestine have roots in the school of Imam Hussein (AS).

The Arbaeen mourning ceremony is one of the largest religious gatherings in the world.

It marks the 40th day after Ashura, the martyrdom anniversary of the grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), Imam Hussein (AS). This year’s Arbaeen falls on August 25.
