The ministry called on Arab and Muslim nations to fulfil their responsibility regarding the holy city.
It said Arab and Muslim states should exert pressure on the Israeli regime and prevent its attempts at gaining dominance on Al-Aqsa Mosque, al-Mashhad al-Arabi website reported.
The ministry described the current situation in al-Quds as a dangerous phase in attempts at changing the historical and legal status of the city’s Islamic and Christian sites.
Earlier, Jordan’s Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Mohammad Khalaileh denounced the unprecedented Israeli escalation and violations of the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist Israeli officials and settlers.

He warned of severe consequences of such raids and the ongoing restrictions imposed on Muslim worshippers visiting Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Khalaileh underlined that Muslims have religious, historical, and legal rights to Al-Aqsa Mosque, adding that the mosque is an exclusively Islamic site, and any attempts at division or shared control are unacceptable.
