Mufti of Oman Lauded for Supporting Palestine

IQNA – The Grand Mufti of Oman, insulted by some social media users over his support for Palestine, has received an outpouring of support and solidarity from many others.

Social media activists launched a campaign to express solidarity with Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalili after the senior cleric was insulted on X, foremerly known as Twitter, for his stances.

In a post on X, he had voiced full solidarity with the people of Palestine, including the Gaza Strip, as well as people of Yemen and Lebanon who are facing aggression by the Israeli regime and the United States.

He also praised the capabilities of the Yemeni popular resistance movement Ansarullah for its ability to target Tel Aviv with missiles.

While some users criticized the Mufti and posted insults, many others commended him and described his stances as courageous.

For years, Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalili has remained steadfast in his support for the cause of Palestine.

He has also criticized attempts at normalization of the ties with the Israeli regime and opposed any move by Oman in that direction.
