Nasrallah’s School to Remain Alive: Iranian Spokesman

IQNA – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman said Hezbollah Secretary General Sayed Hassan Nasrallah was martyred but his school and cause as well as the movement remain alive.  

Speaking to reporters at a press conference in Tehran on Monday, Nasser Kana’ani referred to the Zionists’ assassination of Nasrallah and said the Israeli occupation regime will get nothing from such crimes.

He added that the regime cannot make up for its defeats by resorting to such reprehensible and ominous terrorist crimes and methods.

The Hezbollah resistance movement and the school and cause of Nasrallah will remain alive and effective after his martyrdom and there is no doubt that the resistance front and the regional nations, including the Palestinian and Lebanese nations, will celebrate the death of Zionism and liberation of holy al-Quds in the near future, he stated.

Kana’ani further slammed the US government for continuing its support for the shameful acts of the Zionist regime, saying it would bring no strategic achievement for Washington.

He also honored the memory of Iranian commander Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan, who was martyred in Lebanon in the same attack that assassinated Nasrallah.

He said the Iranian general was martyred in an Israeli terrorist attack on the path of helping the cause of Palestine, liberation of al-Quds and supporting the oppressed Palestinian people.

The spokesman voiced confidence that the blood of General Nilforoushan and other martyrs was not spilled in vain.

Sayed Hassan Nasrallah was martyred in a massive airstrike that Israel launched on southern Beirut on Friday using American-supplied bunker-buster bombs.

Israel’s attacks come against the backdrop of escalated tensions between the Lebanese resistance movement and the occupying entity, which included the targeted killing of top Hezbollah commanders and the detonation of telecommunication devices belonging to the Muslim resistance group.

Israel has been targeting Lebanon since October 7 last year, when it launched a genocidal war on the besieged Gaza Strip.

Hezbollah has been responding to the aggression with numerous retaliatory operations, including one with a hypersonic ballistic missile, targeting the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Lebanese resistance movement has vowed to keep up its operations against Israel as long as the Israeli regime continues its Gaza war.
