Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mostafa Hosseini Neyshaburi, the head of the Quran and Propagation International Center of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), made the remark at a press conference in Tehran on Sunday.
He said activating Quranic diplomacy among Quranic organizations and personalities of the Muslim world and explaining Quranic teachings to the world are also among the objectives of the conference.
Another goal being pursued is training Quran activists and for this purpose, Dar-ol-Quran centers have been established in countries like Bosnia and Herzegovina, he stated.
“One of our other goals is to (prepare the ground for introducing) and explaining contemporary Quranic thoughts and the best works written in the fields of Quranic sciences, teachings, and arts.”
He noted that the first edition of the international conference, organized earlier this year, was highly welcomed by Muslim countries.
It helped the participating countries learn more about the Quranic capacities of each other, Hojat-ol-Islam Hosseini Neyshaburi said.
“We are trying to turn the memoranda of understanding formed in this conference into operational plans.”
