IUMS Raps Israeli Aggression against Iran

IQNA – Condemning the Israeli aggression against Iran as a criminal act, the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) warned the move may lead to the escalation of tensions in the region.   

Iran’s Air Defense Force on Saturday confirmed Israeli attacks targeting positions in Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam Provinces, saying the aggression was successfully thwarted.

The IUMS issued a statement following the Israeli regime’s strikes, Anadolu Agency reported.

The statement denounced the attack, saying it risks escalating tensions in the region.

It also deplored the “disgraceful” silence of the international community in the face of Israeli crimes.

The union called on free-thinking people of the world to take action to stop the Zionists’ crimes.

The IUMS referred to the continuation of Israeli attacks on people and infrastructures in the Gaza Strip, saying the regime keeps violating international norms and laws.

It stressed the need for immediate international intervention to stop the regime, warning that passivity and inaction would lead to further instability in the region.
