IQNA – Israeli forces have continued targeting civilian infrastructure in Gaza on Saturday, striking a hospital, a school, and residential areas.

The raids come just a day after a deadly assault on the Nuseirat refugee camp, which claimed at least 36 lives, mostly from the al-Sheikh Ali family, according to Palestinian officials.

Early Saturday, an airstrike killed four members of the Saadallah family in their home in Jabalia.

Additional strikes hit a school northeast of Gaza City, resulting in two fatalities, and another individual was killed in a tent sheltering displaced people south of Khan Younis, reported the Palestinian news agency Wafa.

In northern Gaza, where several neighborhoods have faced intensified sieges, Israeli forces demolished buildings and burned homes in Beit Lahiya.

Kamal Adwan Hospital, located in the area, was subjected to attacks that injured medical staff and destroyed an ambulance, according to reports from Al Jazeera. The report said that medical teams trapped inside the hospital are under growing pressure.

Israeli operations in the region have persisted for more than 17 days, leaving the area in a state of constant bombardment.

The hospital’s intensive care unit director was killed in a drone strike last month, further compounding the challenges faced by medical personnel amid the conflict.

The United Nations’ humanitarian coordinator for the occupied Palestinian territories, Muhannad Hadi, expressed alarm over the deteriorating conditions in Gaza.

In a statement on Friday, he said, “In recent days, multiple strikes across the Gaza Strip have resulted in scores of reported fatalities and numerous injuries. Women and children continue to be among the casualties.”

Observers believe the escalating Israeli attacks and total siege in northern Gaza are part of attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians and permanently alter the region's demographics.

The situation continues to draw widespread condemnation, with human rights organizations calling for immediate measures to protect civilians and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid.

The Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since October last year has killed nearly 44,900 people, mostly women and children, according to the official toll.
