In the 47th National Holy Quran Competition held in Tabriz, Iran, Mohanna Qanbari from Gilan Province secured first place in the women's under-18 category for memorization of the entire Quran.
Reflecting on her preparation, Qanbari stated, "I usually review several sections daily, and as the competition approaches, I practice through Q&A sessions with my mother."
Her journey began at age six, when her mother recognized her interest and talent in the Quran.
She began specialized memorization training under the guidance of her teacher, and by age ten, she had memorized the entire Quran.

Addressing concerns about balancing Quranic studies with formal education, Qanbari emphasized, "With proper planning, one can manage both academics and Quranic studies. Memorizing the Quran enhances memory and concentration, leading to greater success in studies."
Qanbari previously represented Iran in the International Quran Competition for Muslim Students, achieving first place.
Looking ahead, she aims to pursue higher education while promoting Quranic teachings, stating her desire to share her knowledge with others.
When asked about the impact of her Quranic engagement on her life compared to peers, she remarked, "The Quran teaches life lessons. Engaging with it brings inner peace and equips one to face life's challenges."
Her success has inspired her schoolmates, many of whom have developed an interest in the Quran and begun their own memorization journeys.
