IQNA – Five hundred male and female memorizers of the Quran from various provinces of Algeria gathered to perform Khatm Quran in a single session as part of a Quranic initiative.

Holy Quran

Khatm Quran is the recitation of the Quran from the beginning to the end.

This program took place on Saturday, December 28, 2024, from the morning prayer until the evening prayer, during which the five hundred memorizers of the Quran completed reciting the Holy Book.

In a Facebook post, the Quranic Movement Foundation of Algeria said that after about nine months of preparations and the involvement of a thousand students in previous stages of the project, 500 skilled memorizers reached this memorable day, serving as a model to demonstrate their love for the Quran and their commitment to it.

Similar Khatm Quran programs will continue to be held on Saturdays from the morning prayer until the evening prayer at various Quranic centers across different provinces in Algeria.

They will be broadcast live on the Facebook page of the foundation.

Meanwhile, the first round of a Quran recitation competition titled “Hafiz al-Wahi” (memorizer of revelation) was held at the Amir Abd al-Qadir mosque in the Algerian city of Oran on Saturday, with the participation of 100 contestants aged between 10 and 65 years.
