Speaking on Sunday when the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel came into force, Abu Ubaida said the Palestinians fought with all their power with the criminal enemy and the world powers that supported it.
The enemy has committed new and horrific acts of brutality, torture, and revenge against innocent people, and the whole world has witnessed it, he noted.
“Achieving an agreement to halt the Zionist regime’s genocidal aggression and war against our people has been our goal since the onset of the invasion,” he said, adding “We are keen to succeed in all stages of the agreement, its details and timings to preserve the blood of our people and achieve their goals, and we urge the mediators to compel the enemy to abide by it.”
Abu Ubaida described the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation, carried out by Palestinian resistance forces against the Israeli regime on October 7, 2023, as a historic example of struggle against occupation, stressing that the operation dealt a heavy blow to the regime.
He added that the operation hit the last nail on the coffin of the occupation regime on its path to elimination.
The self-sacrifices made by the Palestinians and the blood of martyrs have not been in vain, he underlined.
