Organized by the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Endowments in collaboration with the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, the competition has drawn 4,242 participants, with 703 advancing to the preliminary rounds, Bahrain News Agency reported.
According to Abdulla Al Omari, Director of Holy Quran Affairs at the Ministry, contestants go through multiple stages, starting with internal qualifiers and leading to the final round.

The competition consists of seven categories, covering memorization and recitation, along with specialized contests for school students, individuals with disabilities, inmates, non-Arabic speakers, and the general public.
Beyond the main competition, additional awards are presented for various achievements, including recognition for the youngest and oldest participants, Best Quran Centre, and Best Local Competition.
