30th Congress for Honoring Quran Servants Slated for Next Week

IQNA – The 30th edition of an annual congress in which selected servants of the Holy Quran are honored will be held next week, an official said.

Seyed Ali Sarabi, secretary general of the Quran Servants Society, said the congress is expected to be attended by the Iranian president.

As for those selected to be honored at the event, he said five specialized committee do the selection process.

They choose the top Quran activists and servants of the Holy Book from among memorizers, reciters, experts, teachers, managers, and those active in the fields of promotion of Quranic teachings as well as Quranic arts and publication of Quranic works, Sarabi noted.  

A total of 15 Quran activists will be honored in this year’s ceremony, according to the official.

The Congress for Honoring Quran Servants is organized in the middle of the holy month of Ramadan very year.
