IQNA – Yemeni people from all walks of life took part in a massive rally in the capital Sanaa on Friday to voice support for the oppressed people of Palestine.

Yemeni people from all walks of life held a massive pro-Palestine rally in the capital Sanaa on Friday, May 16, 2025.

The demonstration was held in the city’s Al-Sabaayn Square with the motto “With Gaza for Confronting Crime of Genocide and Hunger”, Al Maseerah reported.

In a final statement, the demonstrators said that on the Day of Nakba, they are sure Palestinians, through their Jihad, patience and steadfastness, will prevent another Nakba to take place.

They praised the Yemeni armed forces for operations against the Zionist regime and said they were proud to see Yemeni missiles striking the occupied territories during US President Donald Trump’s speech in the region.

The statement reminded Muslim nations of the religious, humanitarian, and moral responsibility that they bear, stressing that this responsibility does not fade with the passage of time.

“We call for the real mobilization of the Islamic Ummah and the activation of all capacities to defend our brothers and sisters in Palestine, and the least responsibility that has the greatest impact is the economic sanction of the enemies.”

Yemeni citizens also called on the scholars and intellectuals of the Muslim Ummah to act in order to increase awareness among the Ummah and to follow the instructions of the Quran sincerely.

Meanwhile, at least one civilian was killed and nine others wounded in Israeli attacks on Yemen’s Red Sea ports of Al-Salif and Al-Hudaydah on Friday, according to the Yemeni Health Ministry.
