The book combines translation and interpretation of the Quran in a foreign language.
According to the Moroccan translator, Abdel Haq Azouzi, this work, written in three large volumes (3,200 pages), he did not focus only on word-for-word translation or the usual interpretation, but tried to preserve the essence of the text of the Quran, the beauty of the Word of God and the characteristics and accuracy of the Arabic language.
He explained that in his translation and interpretation of the Quran, before presenting the interpretation of the verses to the readers, he has consulted the main sources of interpretation to provide a precise understanding of the Word of God with the aim of personal and social reformation.
He said this translation differs from existing translations in terms of accuracy, precision and what some existing translations lack.
Given that Azouzi is fluent in both Arabic and French, has graduated from the University of Al-Qarawiyyin in Morocco, and has studied in French universities, he has used his knowledge in the field of Islamic, historical, as well as human and social sciences to provide a translation that preserves the beauty of the text of the Quran and its semantic richness and eloquence and enable the reader to understand its true spiritual and religious meaning.

He has presented the text of the Quran in French, combining the precision of meaning and the beauty of style, and has used all the expressive conditions, rhetoric and grammar that are characteristic of the Arabic text.
It can be said that he has presented new literature to Francophones that had not been customary before.
In the case of interpretation, Azouzi has distinguished the connection of verses with each other in his translation.
He says that he did not start translating and interpreting the Surahs until he had fully understood the Surah and interpreted verses that have a coherent meaning, that is, first he divided verses that have a thematic unity and then he began to interpret.
In his commentary, he relied on the most authoritative interpretations, old and new, and relied on numerous sciences that serve the purposes of the Quran.

Azouzi has also used some of the physical, medical, natural and other sciences to demonstrate to the general public the power of the Creator in the creation of the universe, the creation of man, and that He created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them.
The translation took 10 years, with Azouzi having rewritten his work four times.
The aim of this work is to help Muslims and non-Muslims to study the Quran as a book of divine guidance and religious law that guides towards the truth and the path of moderation, morality and ideal human values, he said.
