It will be held after Maghrib (evening) prayers on Sunday under the supervision of Al-Azhar chief Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb.
Mohammad Hasan Sabtan, professor of Quranic Studies and Interpretation at the Faculty of Religious Studies in Cairo, and Majdi Abdul Ghaffar Habib, former head of the faculty’s Department of Islamic Culture and Propagation, will speak at the meeting.
Kamal Nasrudin, host of Egypt’s Radio, will be the director of the meeting.
Abdul Munim Fouad, the general supervisor of Al-Azhar’s scientific activities, said this meeting is an important opportunity to reflect on the verses of the Quran and its concepts and open up new areas for research in the field of Quranic miracles.
It will be effective in strengthening the religious and cultural awareness of the participants and inviting them to reflect deeply on the religious texts, he stated.
Hani Awda, custodian of the Al-Azhar Mosque, also expressed his happiness with the meeting, stressing the importance of the miraculous nature of the Quran in shaping the identity of the Islamic Ummah.
He said Al-Azhar always strives to provide knowledge that contributes to the building of informed and enlightened societies, and the weekly meetings of Al-Azhar Mosque are a new step towards achieving this goal.

He noted that these meetings are held every Sunday, in which a group of scholars and expert professors give lectures.
He emphasized that part of the sessions will be devoted to questions and answers and open discussion among the participants, giving them the opportunity to interact and exchange ideas about the content of the sessions.
