According to Al-Shorouk, the program, titled “Skills for Effective Memorization and Teaching Methods in Quranic Schools,” began on May 25 and is overseen by Ashraf Fahmy, Director of Education at the Academy, and Khaled Aboul-Ezz, the Academy's Administrative Director.
Fahmy said that the training aligns with Egypt’s Ministry of Awqaf’s broader initiatives to develop Quran memorization programs and enhance instructors’ pedagogical and social skills. He emphasized the program's role in spreading moderate Islamic values and fostering greater awareness of the Quran’s social and spiritual teachings.

Fahmy also highlighted the importance of Quranic schools in shaping public awareness, especially among children.
The course features several lectures, including one by Sheikh Abdel Fattah Al-Tarouti, Vice President of the Egyptian Reciters' Union. His presentation, “Qualities of a Successful Quran Instructor and Social Responsibility,” focused on the importance of mastering recitation rules, using effective teaching methods, and positively influencing students—particularly young learners.
Al-Tarouti also discussed the concept of social responsibility for Quran teachers, underlining their role in instilling Islamic ethics and values, and in supporting family and social cohesion.

Another lecture was delivered by Mohamed Najdi, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Islamic Studies in Egypt. His talk, “Safeguarding Against Extremist Ideologies and Correcting Misconceptions,” addressed the need to counter extremist interpretations and promote a balanced, enlightened understanding of Islam.
