Abdul Basit’s Son Recites Quran at Funeral of Mustafa Ismail’s Son

IQNA – A funeral was held for Atif Mustafa Ismail, the son of late Egyptian qari Sheikh Mustafa Ismail, on Tuesday.  

Atif, the eldest son of Mustafa Ismail, passed away on Monday.

He was known as the collector of his father’s heritage.

Tariq Abdul Basit, the son of another legendary qari, Abdul Basit Abdul Samad, recited verses from the Holy Quran at the event, according to Youm7 website.

It was held in Mit Ghazal village in the country’s Gharbia Governorate and was attended by hundreds of people from Mit Ghazal and nearby villages.

Awqaf Minister Osama Al-Azhari in a message offered condolences on the passing of Mustafa Ismail’s son.

Sheikh Mustafa Ismail was one of the greatest qaris of Egypt who helped to enhance coherence in Quran recitation in his country.

Abdul Basit Abdul Samad was also a legendary qari from Egypt who established his own school of Quran recitation and inspired those who love the Quran all over the world.
