Ahmed al-Muslimani said it will house photographs, manuscripts, contracts, and recorded recitations of Egyptian qaris, Maspero website reported.
Various data-x-items belonging to or related to prominent Egyptian Quran reciters will be put on display at the museum, he stated.
He added that the museum will be affiliated with the Holy Quran Radio Network, with a suitable and distinguished space within the radio and television building at Maspero (the National Media Authority of Egypt) designated as the museum’s headquarters.
Al-Muslimani noted that families of the most renowned Qaris have been contacted to collect their data-x-items for the new museum.
Once organized, introduced, and prepared for display, the museum will be opened for organized visits.
