Israel Has Attacked A Nation Whose Role Model Is Imam Hussein, Iraqi Nujaba Chief Says
Sheikh Akram al-Kaabi issued a statement after Israeli launched attacks in which a number of Iranian military commanders, scientists and civilians were martyred.
He said the cowardly aggression of the Zionists against the Islamic Republic of Iran, alongside their blatant violation of Iraq’s sovereignty and repeated incursions into its airspace, coordinated with the American occupiers, must not go unanswered or unpunished.
The American occupation must end completely—on the ground and in the skies—across all of Iraq, he emphasized.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran stood with Palestine and Lebanon—with blood, arms, and unprecedented support—against the savage and barbaric onslaught of the Zionist regime, while the world either watched passively or actively backed this regime in its crimes,” he noted.
“Iran stood beside the Iraqi people against the Zionist-American project, embodied by the terrorist group Daesh (ISIL or ISIS) that was designed to destroy Islam. This, while Arab nations and the West funded and armed Daesh, and their media apparatuses promoted its propaganda.”
Sheikh al-Kaabi added that today, Iran is the emblem of Islam’s grandeur and power in the face of oppression and arrogance, the standard-bearer of truth and light against falsehood and tyranny.

He warned that the Zionists’ extremism, arrogance, and haughtiness will ultimately break their backs and drown them in regret, for they have raised their hands against a people whose model, path, and creed is that of Imam Hussein (AS).
It is a people who fear not death, who yearn for martyrdom, racing toward it as their pride and honor, a people who place their trust in God, certain that He will grant them victory and humiliate their enemies, he stated.
