Ayatollah Alireza Arafi condemned the Israeli regime for flagrantly violating Iran's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and for initiating a comprehensive war supported by some Western countries (especially the United States) against the peace-loving Iranian nation.
Innocent civilians, scientists, nuclear experts, and military commanders have been martyred, and numerous civilian and infrastructural sites have been targeted," he noted.
"The occupying regime has been invading Palestinian land and other Islamic countries for decades, staining its hands with the blood of many innocent people," he said, adding that the Israeli regime has conducted the most severe atrocities against Muslims, citing verse 82 of Surah Al-Ma'idah: 'Surely You will find the most hostile of all people towards the faithful to be the Jews and the polytheists.'
Arafi asked the religious figures to condemn the ongoing Israeli aggression on Iran at this critical juncture and put extra effort to achieve Islamic unity in the face of the "common Zionist enemy."
