Trump’s Abraham Accords Doomed to Failure: Analyst

IQNA – Abraham Accords (Trump’s Abrahamism), aimed at undermining religions and Palestinians’ national rights, will never achieve their goals, a Lebanese political analyst said.

The “Abraham Accords” of Trump (also known as the Abraham Agreement) refer to the normalization deals between the Zionist regime and some Arab countries, facilitated with the support of the administration of former US President Donald Trump.

These agreements included the normalization of diplomatic relations and expanded cooperation between the Israeli regime and the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco.

Mikhail Awad, a Lebanese writer and analyst, in a commentary for IQNA, has analyzed Trump’s Abraham Accords and their role in undermining religious values and the national rights of Palestinians. He writes:

Trump is neither religious, ideological, nor strategic. He is a dealmaker. Religion is not his main concern—profit is. His approach relies on force, aggression, and threats, which are condemned in all divine religions and even secular ideologies as akin to theft and robbery. No religion, human rights charter, or nation has justified or endorsed such a deal.

Trump seeks a profitable deal. During his first presidential term, he proposed the “Deal of the Century”, which failed miserably. In his second term, he suggested turning “Gaza into the Riviera of the Middle East”, an idea rejected by the people of Gaza, who are enduring immense sacrifices and daily genocide.

Now, in his second term, he is pushing a deal under the guise of “Abrahamism” and the “Abrahamic religion”. His goal is neither religious nor spiritual; rather, he seeks to reshape religions, their values, prohibitions, and laws to align with his personality, transactional approach, and justifications for deals.

However, divine religions and their values are deeply rooted in people’s minds, traditions, and customs—they are not commodities to be traded.

The Abraham Accords (Trump’s Abrahamism) are designed to achieve two goals:

First: To weaken and dismantle religions, restructuring them to align with Trump’s values and the interests of the oppressive forces dominating the world. This deal seeks to undermine the values and model of Prophet Abraham (AS), who stood for truth, justice, and the fight against fraud, theft, and human rights violations.

Trump’s Abrahamism stems from ignorance and vengeance, distorting the essence of Abraham’s (AS) religion and mission. It aims to reverse time, erase prophets and religions, and return humanity to an era of ignorance—before divine messengers were sent to guide and elevate people.

Abraham’s religion and Judaism existed centuries before Christ and laid the foundation for the emergence of Jesus (AS), whom Jews still reject while awaiting his coming.

Jesus (AS) was sent in a different era, addressing diverse groups of people. His teachings paved the way for Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who emerged in another era for people with different experiences, mindsets, and capabilities.

Judaism came to define roots, elevate humanity, and establish relationships with the Creator, nature, and brotherhood. Its laws were suited to their time—"an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth."

Christianity then introduced the Ten Commandments as a moral law governing relations with the Creator and humanity. Similarly, the miracles of Jesus (AS) were tangible, laying the groundwork for human progress.

Finally, the Quran emerged as a universal text, calling for goodness, applicable across all times and places, and aligned with human understanding. It established principles, prohibitions, and permissions as agreed-upon rules for humanity’s benefit—thus concluding prophethood.

Trump’s Abrahamism and its supporters aim to destroy all of this, reverting human intellect and experience to the era of Abraham—not to defend truth, but to justify aggression, theft, false testimony, lust for relatives’ spouses, and even killing in the name of religion—just as Israel, the US, and their armed political proxies do.

Second: To create a theoretical and ideological framework for projects that erase the national, ethnic, humanitarian, and religious rights of the Palestinian cause.

Abrahamism, based on distortion and forgery, destroys the foundations of faith—the Ten Commandments, Abraham’s path, and divine boundaries—providing tools for its followers to dismantle the Palestinian cause, first ideologically, then in reality.

But reality, nature, and the motives of resistance are not what they think.

The Palestinian cause is not a religious issue or a clash between religions. Gaza has exposed the lies, revealing all secrets, claims, and accusations.

Gaza is Palestinian, Muslim, Sunni, affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, Wahhabi, and Salafi—yet it is being massacred publicly.

All political and armed Islamist groups—Wahhabi, Salafi, and Muslim Brotherhood—are complicit in enabling this. The regimes and powers ruling nations are partners in Gaza’s genocide, destruction, and displacement, as well as the erasure of the Palestinian cause.

Meanwhile, contrary to accusations, it is Christians, Jews, and secular individuals who support Gaza in international forums and global public opinion—especially in the US and Europe. They lead movements, pay the price for solidarity, and stand with Gaza, while political and armed Islamist groups conspire, normalize ties, and serve the Zionist project.

The Abraham Accords (Trump’s Abrahamism) will never achieve their goals. They will fail in distorting religions and weakening their teachings. At most, they may spawn a heretical sect—as exists in all religions—but they will not corrupt faith, national identity, or truth.

With artificial intelligence, hundreds—perhaps millions—of such distortions will emerge.

We must also emphasize: Destroying national rights will not bring peace. History proves that national rights cannot be compromised, divided, or temporarily resolved—they can only be reclaimed. This is true for Palestine, given all circumstances and developments.

We must expose and dismantle Abrahamism by all means. We must not be deceived by promises or rhetoric.

Just as the Deal of the Century and humiliating compromises failed, normalization is collapsing. The Abrahamic equation will fail, and time remains in the hands of God and the will of nations.
