The initiative was organized by the Women’s Quran Circles and Sessions Center under the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques. It was held as part of broader educational and religious activities aimed at enriching the experience of Umrah pilgrims.
The course aligned with the Grand Mosque’s operational plan for the Umrah season, focusing on helping visitors engage with Quranic learning in a spiritual setting.
The program began on the 25th of Dhu al-Hijjah, 1446 AH, and brought together 1,602 female participants across 62 Quranic learning circles, divided into three instructional categories.
The course concluded with 55 students completing full recitations of the Quran using different accepted readings (qira’at). Another segment of the course focused on strengthening memorization, with 140 female participants completing two full recitations.
