This is according to Mohammad-Taqi Fayyazbakhsh, who made the statement in an interview with IQNA.
He emphasized that reflecting on the Quran is not only a path to understanding God but also a way of realizing humanity’s deepest potential.
“God says that the Quran is a revelation of your humanity and that if you wish to connect with your true essence and the highest degrees of humanity, you must reflect on the Quran,” he said.
Fayyazbakhsh highlighted verses that describe humankind as God’s vicegerent on earth, noting that divine knowledge was bestowed upon Adam.
Referring to the opening verses of Surah Al-Rahman, he drew attention to the sequence of creation: “God first said, ‘He taught the Quran,’ then, ‘He created man.’ This means that humanity truly becomes human when it carries the Quran.”

The scholar also pointed to Quranic passages about the soul, explaining that the human being undergoes a transformation when infused with the divine spirit. “With the Quran,” he said, “a person becomes something entirely new and enters another stage of life and creation.”
Fayyazbakhsh concluded that the spread of Quranic teachings would ensure that Muslim societies remain united, humane, and guided toward eternal well-being. “If a community holds fast to the Quran and obeys the Prophet, it will be led toward salvation and a pure life,” he said.
Quoting the verse, ‘Fulfill My covenant; I will fulfill yours’, (Surah Baqarah, verse 40), he stressed that God’s promise guarantees guidance, success, and victory for societies that remain faithful to the Quran.
