--The minister of commerce called on Quranic scholars to try and come up with recommendations for creating an economy based on the teachings of the holy Quran.

Dr Sayyed Masood Mirkazemi, Minister of Commerce visiting IQNA booth at the 13th International Press Fair in Tehran yesterday said that his ministry is willing to carry out Quranic activities but needs scholars’ advice for this purpose.

“We are to hold courses on Quranic teachings for our managers to further their knowledge on Quran’s views on economy and commerce, since many of our economic troubles and difficulties are due to lack of our knowledge of Quran and a Quranic-Islamic economy” he said.

During his visit to IQNA’s booth at the Fair, the Commerce Minister was briefed on the activities of the Iranian Quran News Agency and praised the efforts made by IQNA to disseminate Quranic news in five languages.
