The
annual convention themed, "In the company of Angels”, is attended by a galaxy
of Muslim scholars from around the world.
In the
introductory speech, Dr. Shahrul Hussain said: "Take away from this convention
one thing: a message of unity among Muslims. Let’s put our differences aside
and let’s all unite as Muslims.”
After
the introduction, Sister Shuaib, a marriage counselor from the US, gave a very
motivational talk about relations between married spouses.
She
suggested three golden tips for spouses to live a happy marriage: learn to
forgive your spouse, focus on the good deeds of your spouse, and thank Allah
for the gift of having a spouse and show appreciation to your spouse on a daily
basis.
More
speakers are expected to follow.The convention includes a bazaar, kids face
painting, talent shows, and interfaith Q & A time.
