Prominent Qari Recites Quran at Rouhani Endorsement Ceremony
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iranian Qari Karim Mansouri recited verses from the Holy Quran at the endorsement ceremony of President Hassan Rouhani.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei formally endorsed Rouhani as president in the ceremony, held in Tehran on Thursday.
In Iran’s presidential election on May 19, Rouhani garnered 23,549,616 votes from a total of 41,220,131 ballots. The runner-up, Ebrahim Raisi, secured 38.5% of the votes.
Karim Mansouri is an internationally-renowned Quran reciter.
Born in 1968 in Abadan, southwest Iran, he started learning the Quran at an early age.
Mansouri is both a Qari and a memorizer of the entire Quran.
He has won many top
titles in national and international Quran competitions, including those held
in Malaysia and Saudi Arabia.
