Senior Daesh Member Arrested in Iraq
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A top member of the Daesh terrorist group was arrested in Samarra, Iraq’s military said.
According to the army’s information center, the forces of the Samarra Operation Command detained the terrorist on Monday.
The man was the head of a Daesh execution committee, the army said.
It added that he was captured by the forces in an ambush on a road in al-Dujail region of Samarra.
The Daesh terror group has intensified its attacks in Iraq in recent months amid Baghdad’s call on the US to pull out its forces from the Arab country.
