The Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA), will organize the event, named after Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, al-Bayan reported.
DIHQA Chairman Ebrahim Bu Milha said the contest is annually held with the participation of Emiratis and expatriates living in the country.
Citizens of the other Arab countries of the Persian Gulf region can also take part in the competition, he noted.
Bu Milha said participants usually include a large number of prayer leaders and muezzins.
There will be four age groups of up to 13 years, teenagers, youths, and prayer leaders competing in the Quranic event, according the official.
