Damage of Normalization No Less than Damage of Occupation
“The damage inflicted by compromisers to Palestine is no less than the damage caused by the occupiers,” Rizwan Akhras told IQNA on Saturday in the wake of new developments regarding the normalization of ties with the Israeli regime.
By breaking the taboo of relations with occupiers, compromisers have given legitimacy to the policies of the Israeli regime, and Tel Aviv has used this opportunity to reinforce the occupation, he said, adding that normalization of ties is only in favor of Israel as it has been earlier proven in case of Egypt and Jordan.
On the other hand, majority of people in Arab countries are against any normalization with the Israeli regime and leaders of some Arab states are ignoring their nations’ views and this will have consequences for them, the MP noted.
His remarks came as Tel Aviv opened its embassy in Manama on Thursday amid widespread condemnation of Bahraini people and figures.

Israeli Regime Seeking to Eliminate Palestianian Identity
Elsewhere in his remarks, Akhras said that Zionists have been always trying to sow discord among Palestinians and categorize them into different groups and regions and hence, introduce the Palestinian issue not as a key and unique issue for all Palestinians in the world.
The Israeli regime has sought to eliminate the Palestinian identity during these years by suppressing any form of resistance in Gaza, weakening Palestinian Authority, constructing settlements, and Jewishization of cities such as al-Quds, noted the lawmaker.
The latest battle named Sword of al-Quds and the uprising of Palestinians in various regions showed that the Zionist regime’s plans during these years has been defeated, he said. “With an increased unity and awareness, the Palestinian nation is after securing their rights and liberating their lands from the occupying Israeli regime.”
International organizations are unable and unwilling to confront the Zionist regime, stressed the MP, adding that these organizations are actually a tool to legitimize the regime’s measures as we saw in recent Gaza developments that the UN Security Council failed to even issue a simple resolution amid the crisis.
