Delegations from Hamas and Islamic Jihad held talks in Beirut, Lebanon, on Friday, Qudspress.com website reported.
According to a statement released afterward, the two sides said they discussed the situation in occupied Palestine at the meeting.
They also reiterated their all-out support for Palestinian prisoners being held in the Zionist regime’s jails.
They described the continuation of settlement building in occupied territories, especially Jerusalem al-Quds, and the blockade of the Gaza Strip as unbearable.
Hamas and Islamic Jihad further called for Palestinians’ unity and an agreement for a joint national plan with the PLO to counter the Israeli regime.
They also reiterated their rejection of any plan that undermines the cause of Palestine.
