All Secrets of Guidance, Happiness Available in Quran: IRGC Chief

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) described the Holy Quran as the most beautiful and well-founded expression that contains all secrets of humanity’s guidance and happiness.

Major General Hossein Salami made the remark in an address to the closing ceremony of a Quran competition for IRGC personnel and family members.

The ceremony was held Friday at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad, northeast Iran.

He said the Quran is a brilliant truth that guides people from darkness and ignorance to light and faith.

Major General Salami added that the IRGC should be the manifestation of the Quran and protect it.

The IRGC members should know the Quran well and act upon its teachings, the commander added.

More than 14,000 IRGC personnel and family members took part in the 11^th edition of the competition, which was held in categories like Quran recitation, Quran memorization and Adhan (call to prayers).

The final round of the contest was held in Mashhad with the participation of 974 finalists.
