Iranian Medical Teams to Serve Hajj Pilgrims in Mina, Arafat

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Necessary equipment and supplies have been sent to Mina and Arafat to provide health and medical services to Iranian Hajj pilgrims, an official said.

Meeting of Iranian Hajj officials in Mecca

 

Head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization’s Medical Center Seyed Ali Mar’ashi made the remark in a meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Office of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution’s Representative in Hajj.

The meeting was held in Mecca on Sunday evening with the participation of a number of Iranian Hajj officials, including Head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Seyed Sadeq Hosseini.

Mar’ashi said officials of the center have visited the locations in Mecca and around the holy city specified for providing medical services to Iranian pilgrims and made the necessary preparations.

He added that the required medicines have also been purchased and there is no lack of medicine.

Some one million pilgrims from different countries will perform the Hajj this year after two years of restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Iran has sent more than 39,000 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia to take part in the Hajj rituals this year.
