Senior Iranian Cleric Ayatollah Naseri Passes Away

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Naseri, a prominent Iranian ethics teacher, passes away on Friday at 92.

 

This was announced by the office of the cleric on Friday, adding that information on the time and place of the funeral procession will be announced later.

He was born in 1930 in Esfahan. After finishing primary school in Dolat Abad, he attended Esfahan Seminary School. At 14, he immigrated to Iraq’s Najaf along with his father and continued his seminary education in the holy city.

He attended classes of senior scholars such as Mohammad Kufi, Seyyed Mohammad Kashmiri, Sheikh Abbas Ghouchani, Seyyed Hashem Haddad, Seyyed Jamaleddin Golpayegani, and Allameh Tabatabai.

Naseri used to provide lectures, especially on Islamic ethics, at Kamar Zarrin Mosque in Esfahan.
