TEHRAN (IQNA) – A ceremony was held in Asyut, Egypt, where 140 students who have won titles in a Quran competition in the governorate were honored for their achievement.

The competition was held in the categories of most beautiful Tajweed, best Adhan recitation, and Ibtihal (recitation of supplications) and Tawasheeh (religious signing).

Students from different parts of the governorate took part in the contest in two separate sections for girls and boys, according to Egypt Today.

A total of 140 students were announced as winners in different categories at the end of the Quranic event.

The awarding ceremony was organized by the education department of the governorate and attended by a number of local and national officials, including Governor of Asyut Essam Saad and member of parliament Ahmed al-Shinawi.

The winners received certificates of honor and cash prizes at the ceremony.
