Artist Gives Talk about Concept of Color in Quran

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Saudi artist Mohammed al-Musalla recently gave a talk about the concept of color in the Quran.

He delivered the speech at the Visual Arts Society in Dammam, east of Saudi Arabia, according to Jahat al-Ikhbariya news website.

He said the names of some colors have been mentioned in the Quran.

The word Alwan (colors) is seen in seven verses of the Holy Book and in seven places, he stated.

This corresponds to the number of colors in the visible spectrum al-Musalla noted.

He also said that colors are sometimes used in the Quran to point to some human characteristics.

Al-Musalla has written a book titled “Colors in the Holy Quran”, discussing the issue in detail.
