A Delhi Court has framed charges against them.
Along with statements of witnesses, the Court has also relied on the statements given by two police officials who claimed that there was ‘unlawful assembly’ and vandalism.
“Accused persons were duly identified by these witnesses to be the members of the aforesaid mob… all five accused persons are liable for the offences committed by this mob,” said Special Judge Pulatsya Pramachala while framing charges.
In March, 2020, Mohd. Iliyas Khan filed a complaint alleging that a mob has set a mosque, and his house, on fire. Khan had alleged that ornaments and cash amounting to Rs. 4 lakhs were also looted by the mob.
Counsel for three accused, namely Ankit, Sourabh and Rohit, advocate Shailendra Singh, counsel for three accused did not oppose the charges.
