We are not capable of knowing the character of such a great figure as the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and only God and then Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) can know him.
The Prophet (PBUH) is such a sublime character that Imam Ali (AS) considers himself as his pupil and one of his many servants.
The best source for knowing the Prophet (PBUH) is the Holy Quran. Verse 21 of Surah Al-Ahzab says: “The Messenger of God is certainly a good example for those of you who have hope in God and in the Day of Judgment and who remember God very often.”
Based on this verse, we should fully follow the example of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in terms of his personal and social Seerah in areas like acts of worship, speaking, treatment of different people such as family members, believers, unbelievers, hypocrites, etc, and way of governance.
According to one Hadith, “Kaana khuluquhu al-Qur’an (his character is the Holy Quran).
This means that if we want to see the Quran manifested as a character, we should look at the Seerah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). And if one tries to follow the example of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in all areas, including interactions with others and his political, social, economic and other behaviors, he is actually moving in the direction of becoming a Quranic character.
