Islamic Jihad Refutes Israeli Regime’s Lies after Hospital Massacre
At least 500 people have been killed in the Israeli air raid on al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza on Tuesday, according to Palestinian authorities in the besieged territory.
The actual death toll could be far higher since, according to the territory’s health ministry, “hundreds of victims are still under the rubble.”
World leaders, governments, organizations and rights groups have strongly condemned the attack.
Facing the global outrage over the war crime, the Zionist regime has resorted to lies to justify the massacre, including an assertion that there were weapons and ammunition in the hospital or that Palestinian resistance movements have mistakenly target the hospital.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Islamic Jihad movement categorically denied the Israeli claims as sheer lies, stressing that the Palestinian resistance forces never use hospitals or public places as military bases or weapons depots.
The enemy makes up such baseless lies to justify its attacks on civilian centers including hospitals and whitewash its heinous crimes, it added.
The statement said that there were many journalists and witnesses around the hospital at the time of the attack and the videos taken from the incident, the angle of the missile hitting the building and the scale of destruction all prove that the tragedy took place as a result of an an air raid carried out by a warplane.
The al-Ahli Arab Hospital and other hospitals in the Gaza Strip had been threatened by Israel before the eyes of the world and no one did anything to stop the Israeli enemy from carrying out such a massacre, the movement deplored.
At the end of the statement, the Islamic Jihad called on the world’s free media not to be deceived by the Zionist regime’s fraudulence and deceitfulness and not to allow the regime to spread its baseless claims.
