While the Quran’s more than 6,000 verses, which are on so many different subjects, were revealed to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) over 23 years and in various locations and conditions (Mecca, Medina, in battle, in peace, in victory, in defeat), one cannot find any discrepancies or inconsistencies in the verses.
It is because it has been sent by God, the All-Wise and Omniscient.
We read in Verse 82 of Surah An-Nisa: “Will they not ponder on the Quran? Had it not come from someone other than God, they would have certainly found therein many contradictions.”
If the Quran were a book written by a human, it would certainly contain contradictions and inconsistency in its so many verses.
One reason is because people get more knowledge as they age and certainly this will be easily observable over 23 years.
Also, different events in life create various psychological and emotional states which certainly affects one’s thoughts and words.
