He made remark while addressing an international conference on Palestine held Tehran on Saturday.
The conference aimed to drum up support for the Gaza Strip and force the Israeli regime to end its brutal aggression against the besieged enclave.
Amirabdollahian said hailed the UN Security Council’s resolution on the need for sending humanitarian aid to Gaza but said the council, which is responsible for international peace and security, has taken no steps to stop the killings and attacks in occupied Palestinian territories.
The main hurdle in this regard is the US government and some of its allies that keep supporting the Zionists unconditionally, he deplored.
The Iranian foreign minister called on independent governments to spare no efforts to support Palestine.

Senior government officials, religious figures, thinkers and media activists from more than 50 countries took part in the international conference.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kana’ani headed two expert panels of the event, one discussing the role of media, thinkers, and religious leaders in the Gaza developments and the other featuring the legal outcomes of the Israeli war on Gaza.
Kana’ani referred to concerted efforts at the international level aimed at ending the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza and said the world community attaches importance on ending the blockade of the Palestinian enclave and sending humanitarian aid to its people.
He also referred to UN General Assembly resolution calling for an end to the war and said it demonstrated the global community’s emphasis on the need for the Zionist atrocities to stop.
This has also been demonstrated in huge rallies against the war held in different countries, he stated.

The spokesman went on to say that the UN Security Council must fulfill its main responsibility, which is protection of peace, adding that pressures must mount on the US to hear the world and stop supporting the Zionist crimes.
The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza has reported a death toll of 20,258, primarily comprising women and children, with 53,688 individuals sustaining injuries due to the Israeli regime’s relentless offensive.
