They said the exhibition will run through the 18th day of the holy month.
Speaking to IQNA, Mohammad Mehdi Aziz-Zadeh, an official with the Quran and Etrat Department of Iran’s Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, did not confirm the reports.
He said the opening and closing dates of the expo have been set but are subject to change.
The Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall), which will be the venue of the upcoming exhibition, also hosts Friday prayers and, therefore, determining the exact date of the expo requires coordination with the Headquarters for Holding Friday Prayers he noted.
The exhibition’s policy-making council is holding talks with the headquarters on this issue, he added.
The Tehran International Quran Exhibition is annually organized by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the holy month of Ramadan.
The exhibition is aimed at promoting Quranic concepts and developing Quranic activities.
It showcases the latest Quranic achievements in the country as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.

Earlier this month, Iranian Culture Minister Mohammad Mehdi Esmaeili, called for new ideas to be implemented to enhance the international Quranic event.
He also noted that the upcoming Ramadan is concurrent with the Nowruz (Iranian New Year) holidays in Iran, which provides an opportunity for people to benefit more from the activities of the exhibition.
