The seven siblings have achieved this with the support and encouragement of their parents.
Three of them, Saad Muhammad, Saeid and Abdul Aziz won the top prize in the Quranic family category of Egypt’s 30th international Holy Quran competition last week, according to Al-Watan news website.
Saad Muhammad told the website that his parents, who have only an elementary school education, were eager to see their children’s success on the path of Quran memorization.
“My brothers and sisters and I have all studies at Al-Azhar and also managed to learn the verses of the Holy Book by heart,” he said.
Saad Muhammad also said his family have been very happy to win the top title in the international Quran contest.
He prayed that God will help him raise his children in a way that they will also follow the path of the Quran.
The Quran memorizer also lauded the country’s Awqaf ministry for organizing the international Quranic event.
The 30th edition of the international Quran competition of Egypt was held at the Dar-ul-Quran Center of the Masjid Misr, the country’s new administrative capital, from December 23 to 26.
